Nutritional Therapy

Nutritional Therapy is the application of nutrition science to design personalised nutrition and lifestyle programmes to address your individual health symptoms so you can achieve optimal health and wellbeing or simply just feel better.  It is recognised as a complementary medicine and is suitable for those with chronic health conditions, as well as people looking to support their general health and wellness.  Practitioners use a wide range of tools to assess and identify potential nutritional imbalances and deficiencies and understand how these may contribute to an individual’s overall health.

This type of therapy can be useful for:

  • addressing specific symptoms or health concerns
  • understanding how existing diet and lifestyle may be affecting overall wellbeing
  • improving athletic performance and endurance
  • implementing preventative health measures
  • developing a healthy relationship with food

How does Nutritional Therapy work?

Nutritional Therapy consultation lasts around 90 minutes and during your session we will talk about your health concerns and symptoms as well as your current lifestyle and diet as well as any health goals you may have. Within 48 hours you will receive a detailed plan in which we will have evaluated your individual needs and used an extensive evidence base for nutritional science to develop a personalised, safe and effective nutrition and lifestyle programme to help you achieve your health goals.  We may recommend some supplements for you to take during a limited time period, but generally we prefer to focus mostly on food and lifestyle changes. We can help coach you through making the necessary food and lifestyle changes until they feel like a natural part of your life.
